Show SCHOOLNEWS The senioor high school annual girls' day program has been arranged ar-ranged with the following girls act- mg on the committees: Luncheon, Elaine Fenton, Jennie Hone, Annie Gardiner, Venice Lundberg; program, pro-gram, Beth White, Melba Harris, Mary Jacobs, Helen Wamick; advertising, ad-vertising, Rhea Hooley, June Gour-ley, Gour-ley, Helen Nelson, Reva Tomlinson; dance, Anna Fugal, Wilma Greene, Anna Fugal, Beth Drysdale, Anna Beth Larsen. A hot luncheon will be served to all the boys at noon. Assembly will be in the afternoon with stunts between be-tween classes. In the evening a students body dance will be held in the gymnasium. This year the girls are planning to wear blue and white dresses. Tuesday April 28, the following assembly program was given: Song by the girls trio, duet, Bemadette Conway and Le Ora Walker. Mr. Wallace West, deputy sheriff in charge of traffic gave a very interesting in-teresting talk on observation of proper rules in connection with safe driving. Primary elections were held Monday Mon-day to nominate candidates for student stu-dent body officers for 1938. The two tickets selected were: President, Erva Kirk, Able Eklns; vice president, presi-dent, Frances Hilton, Jack Gardin- er; secretary-treasurer, Helen War-nick, War-nick, Everett West. Erva, Helen and Jack are the Blues, and Abel, Frances Fran-ces and Everett are the Whites. The candidates are all favorites and the race promises to be a close one. Intensive campaigning has been going on all week with the following fol-lowing people acting on the campaigning cam-paigning committee. Whites Eugene Eu-gene Lee and Rhea Freeman; Blues Maxine Walker, Reva Tomlinson, Venice Lundberg and Helen Nelson. Campaigning will continue until Friday, May 8, when the voting will be held. |
