Show Three Injured In Accidents Three Pleasant Grove citizens sustained injuries in accidents which occurred the forepart of this week. Isaac V. Sundberg and Lloyd Gray being placed in Provo hospitals for treatment. Isaac V. Sundberg, who is employed em-ployed by the' Utah Power & Light company on their flume in Provo canyon, had the misfortune to be knocked from a trestle by a piece of timber, on Sunday. He fell 10 feet to the ground sustaining a punctured punctur-ed lung and probable abdomenal injuries. in-juries. He was taken to the Aird Hospital in Provo, where he is still in a serious condition.. Lloyd Gray, employed by the Utah Power and Light company near the mouth of Prcvo canyon, suffered a fractured right leg in two places, between be-tween the knee and ankle, last Thursday about 7:30 p. m. He works with the night crew and was digging a trench some six feet deep, when it caved in on him. He was taken to the Aird Honpital in Provo for medical attention. At last reports he is doing nicely. Vance Baxter, employed hauling gravel for a PWA project near the mouth of Grove Creek canyon, had the misfortune to slide his truck over a 15 foot embankment "Monday. The truck turned over and Vanoe suffered a sprained wrist and slight bruises. The truck was righted, pulled to the road and with the addition of gas and water, was able to run on its own power. |
