Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Adelbert Nebeker, the Misses Norma and Naomi Brown, Misses Winnifred and Naomi Rollo, and Mrs. Grace Hunter all of Salt Lake City. The marriage of Miss Violet Preston Pres-ton and Elmo Peters was the motif for a delightful shower party given by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Ben Mof-Ifctt Mof-Ifctt Wednesday of last week. Nine tables of "Hearts" were played prizes being won by Alice Parker and Mrs. Fern Chipman. A short program also was enjoyed, together with a tasty lunch. Many lovely gifts were received. Mrs. R. J. Stice of American Fork, accompanied by Mrs. Ralph Wood, wife of the Union Pacific agent of Lehi, attended the annual election of the Union Pacific Old Timers club last Saturday, which was held in the Temple Square Hotel. Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Stice are board members mem-bers of the Salt Lake Club No. 2 and were appointed as a reception committee. com-mittee. Eighteen clubs were represented rep-resented at the meeting. A group of lady friends met at the home of Mrs. Laurence Briggs Sunday Sun-day afternoon to celebrate the birthday birth-day anniversary of Mrs. Briggs. Bridge was played during the after-1 noon, six tables being in progress. In the evening a delicious lunch was served at small tables, set with pink and green luncheon sets and centered center-ed with lillies of the valley in pink and green vases. The menu was carried out in the same colors. The out of town guests were, Mrs. Chris Jensen of Salt Lake, Mrs. Merle Cooms, Mrs. Ethel Drysdale, of Pueasant Grove, Mrs. Ed Larsen, Mrs. J. O. Meiling and Mrs. Glen R. jAdamson of Lehi. Prizes were won 1 by Mrs. J. F. Walton, Mrs. Larsen and Mrs. Meiling. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Chipman are the happy parents of a son, born last Friday. Mother and baby are doing well. Mrs. Alfred Anderson of Cedar Fort, returned home Saturday, having hav-ing spent three months withone of her twin daughters, Mrs. L. Stanford Stan-ford Briggs of this city. Miss Nina Halliday returned Monday Mon-day after spending the week-end in Ephriam. She participated with a group of people from Price in giving a concert in Ephriam last Sunday night. |
