Howard Hooley has been very ill the past week with pneumonia, but is reported to be improving. Marines stationed at San, Francisco, California, Califor-nia, writes to his mother, Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Pierce that he is enjoying army life and that he expects- to leave for the Phillipine Islands on June 1. Mrs. Maggie Burriston of Salt Lake City, an aunt of Mrs. Lloyd Gray, and Mrs. Gladys Gray of Grace, Idaho, a cousin of the Gray family, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gray Sunday. The Utah-Juab County Firemen's association will hold their annual tournament and convention Friday, June 2, at Springville. It is expected that Chief J. Kemp and fireman Chris Williamson and other members of the fire department depart-ment will attend from this city. Mr. and Mrs. H. W.
