Show Ten Years Ago Now (Taken from files of Aug. 7, 1926) Three autos were damaged in a mixup on Main street Saturday evening eve-ning after the dance at Geneva. Bert Cooper and Bert Gardiner were parked at the curb while Mr. and Mrs. Herman Parduhn stopped by the side of the Cooper car leaving their lights burning. Leland Beers and Swen Jackson said they were misled by the lighted car and tried to pass on the right side striking theparked car, also damaging the Parduhn car. The trial was set for Wednesday after a hearing before Justice C. B. Harper Monday charging charg-ing the young men with driving while under the influence of intoxicating intox-icating liquors. Ten Years Ago Now Mrs. Jennie Johnson announces ths marriage of her daughter, Gertrude, Ger-trude, to Glen Westrope at Provo, Wednesday, July 28th. On Tuesday evening the bride's mother and her grandmother, Mrs. Clara Bullock, gave a shower in her honor at the Bullock home. Ten Years Ago Now Alton D. Clark, formerly of this city but employed at Bingham for several years, and Miss Ruby Wright who has been employed in Salt Lake City for some time, surprised their relatives and friends by quietly getting get-ting married Tuesday. They decided de-cided to duly notify their relatives and friends by making a short visit among them to tell of the event on Wednesday evening and as the rain fell the young couple enjoyed (?) a joy ride in a truck to which was attached at-tached all kinds of noisy articles to the amusement of all who happened to be on the street. Ten Years Ago Now J Mrs. Kate Frampton assisted by her daughters, Mrs. J. L. Huchel, Mrs. Leonard Ash and Mrs. Joseph Christiansen, entertained at a shower show-er at the Huchel home Wednesday evening in honor of their daughter and sister, (Mrs. Maurice Duae.n-berry, Duae.n-berry, a birde of last week. Ten Years Ago Now Wednesday evening the Alpine stake Sunday School board entertained enter-tained at Saratoga in honor of Vida Fugal Swenson, who will leave Utah soon with her husband to go east to school. |
