Show Shelley Family Holds Reunion An outstanding event of last week was the annual reunion of the James Boyer Shelley family, held Saturday evening in Firmage hall.' The reunion celebrated the 147th birthday anniversary of James Boyer Shelley. A large crowd of descendants from over the state attended. at-tended. With Ernest Shelley, Shelley fam-Dy fam-Dy organization chairman, in charge a program was presented during the evening. It featured a sketch of the life of James Boyer Shelley, by George F. Shelley. Other numbers were community singing; a yodeling song by Donald Rydalch; reading, Sadie Armitstead; trumpet solo, Paul Shelley, accompanied by Mrs. Mary Humphries; piano solo, "Mocking Bird", Mrs. Mary Humphries; Hum-phries; vocal duet, Margaret and Richard Rydalch; reading, Barbara Conder; piano solo, Marion Humphries; Hum-phries; reading, Listona Wilde; duet, Max and Dora Hunsaker, accompanied accom-panied by Lottie Munns. Thomas A. Barratt was elected chairman of the organization, at the annual election. Representatives from the various branches of the family were elected as follows: Alice W. Thacker, William Shelley 'family; Meda Abel Hunsaker, Thomas Tho-mas Shelley family; Leila C. Roberts, Rob-erts, John Shelley family; Mary W. Humphries, James Shelley family; Velma S. Stokes, Joseph Shelley family; Stewart Durrant, Sarah r Shelley Conder family. |
