Show Lectures Oh Southern Utah ! Beauties There was a large attendance at the conjoint meeting of the four wards in the Alpine, stake tabernacle taber-nacle Sunday night when an illustrated illus-trated lecture on the beauties and wonders of southern JUtah was given. giv-en. Randall L. Jones, formerly of Cedar City, now connected with the Union Pacific Railroad Con pany, gave the lecture. The pictures pic-tures shown on the specially constructed con-structed screen took one on through the southern part of the state and into the Grand Canyon region. By a special process in photography photog-raphy the colors of the slides wera the actual coloring of the viens, ! not retouched. The colors of the views were reflected upon the plates, and made a part of the plate making the color Mendings far more perfect than could be I done by hand. I t To set off the lecture special musical numbers were 'rendered, "Out Where the West Begins" was sung by Mrs. LaDocia Wagstaff ' and Mrs. Clara Rhodes; "Trees" was rendered by Rulon Nicholes, and Mrs. C. E. Young sang "A Perfect Day". j |
