Show Mrs.F. C. Pectol Laid at Final Rest Mrs. Dorothy Lucindy Carrell I Pectol, 52, passed away Sunday at 1 2 p. m. in the L. D. S. hospital, Salt Lake, following a two months illness. ill-ness. The deceased was the wife of IF. C. Pectol of this city. She was born May 9, 1880, at Loa, Utah, and ,m June of 1898 was married to Mr. j Pectol in the Manti temple. For I the past five years the Pectols have I resided in American Fork, having j resided in Wayne County prior to that time. I Mrs. Pectol was an active worker lin the M. I. A. and Relief Society j and was always a great helper in assisting others especially in cases of illness. Surviving are her husband and five children: Mrs. Nancy May Dur-free, Dur-free, Elsinore ; Mrs. ' Annina Evans Ogden; Mrs. Effie Gibbons, Hanks-'ville, Hanks-'ville, Utah; Melvin and Byron Pec-jtol Pec-jtol of American Fork; also three sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. F. W. Webster, Loa; Mrs. jj. L. Pectol, and Mrs. Percy Potts, of Upalco, Utah, and three brothers, (James H. and Fred Carrell, Upalco; and Alfred Carrell,. Marysville, California. Cali-fornia. I Funeral services were held in the Third ward chapel Wednesday morning, commencing at 11 o'clock, with Bishop G. Edward Abel in charge. There was a good attendance atten-dance and many beautiful floral offerings of-ferings decked the rostrum. The services opened with the singing sing-ing of "Sometime We'll Understand" sung by Mesdames LaDocia Wag- j staff, Hazel Shelley, Edna Boley, Oma Mitchell and Clara Rhodes, i Mrs. Annie Shipley was accompan-list accompan-list for the singers. The opening ! prayer was offered by John Jacklin ; after which the chorus sang "My Mother's Love." j The first speaker was F. W. Webster, Web-ster, president of Wayne stake in Wayne county, and after his remarks re-marks sentiments written by President Presi-dent Clifford E. Young, who was unable un-able to be present, were read by Pres. Earl S. Greenwood. Mesdames Boley and Wagstaff rendered a duet "Sister Thou Wast Mild and Lovely", after which remarks were made by-George by-George F. Shelley and Eli J. Claysori. Bishop Abel made short closing remarks. re-marks. Each of the speakers told of the good life and works of the deceased and the qualities of character char-acter which endeared her to all with whom she came in contact. ' The closing musical number was a special request number of the deceased, de-ceased, "We Love Our Work" sung by the chorus, the words being composed com-posed by Mrs. Mary E. Abel. The benediction was pronounced by Charles J. Goodall. Interment took place in the city cemetery where the grave was dedi- ,cated by George E. Abel. I i |
