Payson Community Theatre is pleased to welcome Douglas Jolley as artistic director for this year's production of "Saturday's Warrior." Mr. Jolley is no stranger to patrons of Payson theatre. He was seen most recently in last winter's production of "Brighton Beach Memoirs" as Stanley. For his performance in 1986 as the Ringmaster in "Barnum," the Utah Valley Theatre Guild named him Best Supporting Actor. He also appeared in "1776" and "Peter Pan" for PCT. Music director is the very talented Cathy Johnston: Her vast experience as a musical director includes the shows "Music Man" "Hello, Dolly," "Damn Yankees," and "Cinderella." She has been artistic director for "The Wizard of Oz," "Music Man," "Oklahoma," "Brigadoon," "The Bad Seed," and "Camelot," for which the Utah Valley Theatre Guild presented her with the best director award. Cathy played the roles of Widow Corney in "Oliver," and Eulalie Shinn in "Music Man." Last summer she was seen in Payson's production of "Barnum" as the delightful Joyce Heth. Also appearing in the production from this area are Janet Roundy, Amie Ricks and Monica Hamner. |
