Never fear, it will all change too soon By KALYN SKCKKTAN Holidays are always fun and somutimes overwhelming, but they oiler a chance to strengthen the bonds between family and friends. Kvery group tries to plan something special fo the Christmas season. Many are flooded with invitations to church, school and club gatherings. The big day comes, but all the events leading up to it are all part of the holiday season. After Christmas we look forward to New Years with another op- - portunity to gather with friends and family and suddenly it all ends. We have to get back to the everyday living and January sometimes feels like a depressing month and yet also a welcome change back to some sort of schedule. We should think of January as a new beginning and plan for the holidays all through the year. Suddenly it will be February and we have a desire to make heart-shape- d cookies. Easter comes and we color eggs and make cupcakes with Easter nests on top. Family days such as Mothers Day and Fathers Day offer a chance for families to gather and as the weather warms up we enjoy picnics and reunions with family and friends. Patriotic holidays are scattered throughout the year with the Presidents Birthday in February, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day. They all offer a new chance to plan special family fun. We all hate to see the summer end, but it is another time to get back in a routine after a busy season. School starts and it is a time to settle down and get homework done. We enjoy the fall months and the corn on the cob from the garden and other fruits of our labors. Suddenly, it's Halloween, ushering in a favorite time of the year to have a party. Thanksgiving comes and we begin making preparations for a festive dinner with pumpkin pies and carrot pudding. Before we know it, it is Christmas again and we find ourselves busy preparing gifts and goodies and you wish you had more time to get ready for the big holiday. It is a time to rush to the door as the mailman is leaving cards and packages from far and near. The holidays come and the seasons change, but there is always something to look forward to. It doesn't matter what the occasion, it's always nicer when there is a festive air, and food and decorations remind of the event and holiday. In a study of 300 people who were asked stressful questions, researchers found that after exposure to certain pleasant fragrances, people had lowered blood pressure and heart rates and they reported feeling calmer, happier and less angry. The benefits of this "aromatherapy" already include stress reduction and weight control. Future uses could control pain and insomnia. At TANGLES, the Aveda line of products is available to take advantage of "aromatherapy." This popular line is available to the general public and at wholesale to licensed cosmetologists. The Aveda line covers all beauty needs from shampoos, hair spray with Witch Hazel, conditioners, scalp equalizers, colored hair fixitives, clarifying gel to remove medication, chlorine or buildup on the hair and scalp, as well as offering a pleasing formula for the app'ication of aromatherapy.
