Show District to name new officers After two new members take the oath of office with the Alpine School District Board of Education, the five member board will elect a president and vice president to lead the group for this coming year. The action will take place this coming Tuesday, Jan. 13, starting at 6 p.m. at board headquarters in American Fork, 39 N. Center. The two new members, Linda Campbell of Orem, and Dr. Blake Evans, Lehi, were elected this past fall and will four year terms of office. The other three members of the board who will face election two years from now include: Jan Lewis of Orem, Richard Gappmayer of Orem, and David Harvey of Pleasant Grove. Along with the oath of office and election of new officers, the agenda calls for a "public opportunity to address the board" which will be conducted near the beginning of the meeting. Patrons wishing to address ad-dress the board on any topic of concern or interest should sign a sheet provided at the door prior to the meeting. Other action items for the evening include: the adoption of the newly revised 1986-87 school budget, the appintment of a clerktreasurer for the Board of Education, the establishment of board meeting dates for 1987, action on board policy 5430 - Reporting Drug Abuse, and action on board policy 5435 - Search and Seizure. |
