Show Community block grant notice given The State of Utah, Department of Community Com-munity and Economic Development, announces an-nounces two public hearings concerning the Community Development Develop-ment Block Grant program for 1986-87. The hearings will be held to explain the program and receive public comment regarding a draft amendment to the Final Statement which covers the 1986-87 funding cycle. The Final Statement provides comprehensive com-prehensive guidance to the operation and administration ad-ministration of the Community Development Develop-ment Block Grant program which is designed to assist small communities (under 50,000 population) and non-urban counties in meeting a variety of prioritized community development needs. For the current year, the Community Development Block Grant Program initially allocated $3,794,000 to eligible grantees. An additional amount approximating $780,000 is to be made available for allocation through - the seven regional associations' of governments. The pubic is invited to attend either of the two official hearings which will be held as listed below: Thursday, Aug. 14, 1986, 7 p.m. First Floor Auditorium, State Capitol Office Building, Salt Lake City, Utah. Thursday, Aug. 21, 1986, 7 p.m. Room 204, Old Administration Building, Southern Utah State College, Cedar City, Utah.
