This would include all Federal and State highways, county roads and city streets. Utah law prohibits advertising signs within the right-of-wa- y of all public roads. This means that signs cannot be placed on poles, fences, trees, existing official signs or on their own supports if they are legally within the right-of-wa- Failure to heed this law will mean the loss of good signs because road crews have been instructed to remove and dispose of them as soon as they see them. UDOT asks all political organizations to familiarize themselves with these regulations. It is a terrible waste of tax dollars for. road crews to concern them-selves with illegal signs. The destroyed signs cost money too, and could be put to much better use in legal areas. the i Id Eliason ind;!to j n Mission the rst f id Eliason, son of Mr. ert Eliason, American Jljji.i called to serve in the . Mam "Xr'i Pleasant f'l SXV' Grove Li T U 785 3221 David Faux, Pharmacist Medications and the Elderly Individuals 65 years of age and older consume more drugs than any other age group in the United States. There are several reasons why. For one thing, the elderly experience more illness -- almost 80 percent have one or more chronic health problems. This age group is also hospitalized more frequently than are younger adults, and the forms of therapy, which often includes drugs, are usually more complex. The aging process may alter the absoprtion, metabolism, distribution, and excretion of medications. Studies have shown, for example, that kidney function may decline by as much as 40 percent as we age. This decline can decrease drug elimination and increase potential toxicity of drugs that are excreted through the kid-neys. A recent study of 155 elderly individuals in Indianapolis is consistent with other studies of the elderly and their medications. Only one-hal- f were taking their medicines as prescribed by their physicians. The y advance is required for this reason. The reservation system for single families will guarantee a site in a chosen campground. It will not guarantee a specific campsite. The public benefits from the new phone-i- n system by receiving 7 k service; easier convenience and guaranteed reservations. By relieving personnel from taking the reservation orders, Forest Service staff can devote more time to providing more information to other Forest visitors. The new phone-i- n system will also facilitate easier fee collection. The Reservation System is a test program for the state. Other Forests in Utah will join in if the Uinta program is successful. Reservations phones will be answered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Leisure Time is closed on normal holidays.
