Show Annual alumni game to attract TV coverage, band, drill team As for the visual part of the game, "Prime Time Access" will be on hand to do a story on the "small town 'arm chair quarterbacks' annual coming-out-of -retirement. ' ' KBYU will also be present with two "TV broadcast quality" cameras. Players in the game will range from-the graduating class of 1966 to 1986, and there's not one "sub-par" player on either team ! Game time for the 1986 Viking Alumni Bowl is Saturday night, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. In three days, the Fifth Annual Alumni Football Game will be played in Viking Stadium. But, don't expect to see the average "show up, play the game and leave" type of alumni game. Nope, not this year! You see, several people (who just happen to be participants in the game itself) have spent the better part of three weeks preparing different parts of this year's Alumni Bowl itinerary. The game will be broadcast over KPGR (88 FM) and there will be two game announcers running trivia questions and "lucky program" contests on the public address system throughout the game. A six page game program will be handed out to people at the gate and along with prizes and free food, the program will contain a most valuable offensive and defensive player ballot on which audience members will be asked to vote near the end of the game. The MVP's and each member of the winning team will receive t-shirts. t-shirts. The Pleasant Grove High band will play during the game and the excellent Viking drill team will do a routine at halftime. |
