Show Notice of Special Election TO ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CENTRAL UTAH WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT, STATE OF UTAH Take notice that on the 19th day of November, 1985, a special election will be held in the Central Utah Water Conservancy District, State ot Utah, at the voting places set out below for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said district the following proposition: PROPOSITION Shall the Central Utah Water Conservancy District (the "District") enter into a Supplemental Repayment Contract with the United States of America for the continued construction of the Central Utah Project Bonneville Unit and the acquisition of a municipal and industrial water supply for the District, at an additional reimbursable cost to the District of not to exceed $335,000,000, plus ten percent thereof (33,500,000) for certain cost increases, for a total of not to exceed $368,500,000, (which sum is in addition to a present repayment obligation allocated to municipal and industrial water use of $140,408,000 committed and authorized under the original Repayment Contract executed December 28, 1965, and is also in addition t6 the payment of $10,000,000, which payment has been heretofore made by the District to the United States in connection with the Jordan and Alpine Aqueduct systems, and is in addition to sixty-si- x percent of the cost of the Jordan Aqueduct which was included in the 1965 Repayment Contract, but which has now been assumed by others), repayable over the installment period provided for under present Federal Reclamation law, but, in no event, in excess of 50 years, with interest at a rate to be established pursuant to the provisions of Section 5(f) of the Act of Congress approved April 11, 1956 (70 Stat. 105), as amended by the Act of Congress approved June 27, 1960, (74 Stat. 227), not to exceed 3.222 percent per annum, and with a charge on delinquencies at a rate equal to not less than one-ha- lf percent (2) per month, all in accordance with the terms and conditions of the draft of the Supplemental Repayment Contract referred to in the Resolution by which this election is called? The polls at said polling places will be open from 7:00 o'clock a.m. to 8:00 o'clock p.m. There will be no special registration of voters for the special election and the official register last made or revised shall constitute the register for such election, except that the county clerks for Salt Lake County, Utah County, Wasatch County, Summit County, Duchesne County Uintah County, Juab County, Piute County, Millard County, Garfield County, Sevier County and Sanpete County will register at their offices during regular office hours, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and except during the 10 day period immediately preceding the special election, any person who on the day of the election will be a qualified elector and will register such person as provided by law. The county clerks of each county encompassing portions of the District will cause registration agents in the District to make registration lists or copies of such lists available at the above described polling places within their respective counties for use by registered electors entitled to use such . voting places. Absentee ballots may be obtained by any person otherwise eligible to vote at the special election but who, on the day of the election, expects to be temporarily absent from the county in which they are registered to - vote or disabled on the day of the election, by making application in (lie manner and time provided b y law, either by mail or in person at the office of the Secretary of the District, P.O. PUBLIC NOTICE is further given that on Nov. 26, 1985, that being a day not later than 10 days after said special election, the Board of Directors will meet at its regular meeting place at 355 W. 1300 South in Orem, Utah at 10:00 o'clock a.m., and canvass the returns and declare the results of said special election. She was born May 25, 19G0 in American Fork to Elwood C. a id Ina Morris Hunt. She married Randall L. Fuja April 22, 1983 in the Provo LDS Temple. She graduated from Lehi High School and was employed as a banking secretary at Deseret Bank in Lehi. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a teacher in the Primary and the Young Women's Mutual daughter, Shayna, of Lehi; her parents of Lehi; six brothers and three sisters: Craig Hunt, American Fork; Randy Hunt, Tim Hunt, Arnold Hunt, Robert Hunt and David Hunt, all of Lehi; Mrs. Randy (Kathy) Sermon and Mrs. David (Judy) Nolan, both of Lehi; and Mrs. Douglas (Marsha) Bennett, Highland; a grand-mother, Eveline Morris, American Fork. Services were held Monday, Oct. 21, in the Lehi Ward. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Improvement Associat-ion. She was voted "Miss Congeniality" in the 1979 Miss Lehi Pageant. Survivors include her husband and one R. Neil Carlisle Robert Neil Carlisle, 52, died Oct. 20, 1985 in a Salt Lake City hospital from heart failure. He was born Dec. 25, 1932 in Alpine, to Alton Richard "Scott" and Lila Beryl Bair Carlisle. He married Lou Cille Turner on June 29, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. all of Alpine; Robert J. Carlisle, American Fork; five grand-children; one brother and two sisters, Dennis Carlisle, Mrs. Ross L. (Joanne) Beck, both Alpine; and Mrs. Jerry (Lorraine) Dyer, Farmington. He was preceded in death by his father and twin brother, Richard Noel Carlisle. He attended Alpine Elementary School and graduated from American Fork High School in 1951. He was for 30 years at Carlisle and Ewell Heating in American Fork. He served in various church positions, in-cluding that of Elder's Quorum President, and a member of the High Priest Group Presidency. He loved making others happy by in-viting them to his ranch in Star Valley, Wyo. He is survived by his wife, Lou Cille, Alpine; mother, Lila Beryl Bair Carlisle, Alpine; four sons and two daughters: Scott L. Carlisle, Ted Neil Carlisle, Jack Carlisle, Mrs. Kirby C. (Cindy) Jensen, Cathy Carlisle, Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Alpine 5th Ward Chapel, 95 E. Canyon Crest Road. Burial will be in the Alpine City Cemetery. Walter J. Farnworth Walter James Farn-swort- 80, died Mon-day, Oct. 14, 1985 in American Fork. He was born Oct. 1, 1905 in Salt Lake City, a son of Arthur and Mary Matthews Farnsworth. He married Ethel Loveridge June 17, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church and has served as a ward executive secretary and as scoutmaster. He had served two stake missions in California. He was a High Priest. daughters: Mrs. Robert (Lois) Willis, San Bernadino, Calif.; Dr. Lee W. Farnsworth, Provo; Ronald L. Farnsworth, Portland, Ore.; Bruce A. Farn-sworth, Salem; Dale G. Farnsworth, Sterling; Walter Farnsworth Jr., Mrs. Jean Bryant and Mrs. Frank (Linda) Woodcox, all of American Fork; 68 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, Oct. 17, in the American Fork 10th Ward. Burial was in the Lehi Cemetery. He was a real estate broker. She married William Eugene Brandt Dec. 3, 1930 in Yuma, Arizona. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Angeline Young, Provo; Mrs. L.J. (Janave) Cavo, El Centra, Calif. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Lindon 5th Ward Chapel, 600 W. 100 South. Friends may call at the Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. or Friday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Timpanogos Memorial Gardens in Orem. Church living in the Lindon 5th Ward. She attended schools in Lakeview and Orem. (Wilma Jean) Lewellen, Australia; John David Brandt, Pinale, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother and two sisters: Dean Lunceford, Brawley, Calif.; Geneva Mae Bourne, 60, Ogden, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 1985 at her home of heart disease. She was born April 19, 1925 in Benson, a daughter of Frank M. and Ireta Daines Dowdle. She married Merlin G. Bourne. They were later divorced. She lived in Lehi until 1968 when she moved to the Ogden area. She received her education in American Fork. She was a member of the LDS Church. She had been a cashier for Skaggs Co. in Roy. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Marilyn) Jung, Ger-many; two brothers and two sisters; Leroy H. Dowdle, Willard; Harry J. Dowdle, Pollock Pines, Calif.; Norma N. Dowdle, Tenn.; and JoAnn White, Midvale. Services were held Saturday, Oct. 19, at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel, Ogden. Burial was in the American Fork Cemetery. Nielson J lit..' k Max Joseph Nielson, Sr., of Lehi, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1985 in Utah Valley Hospital following a lung disease. He was born July 27, 1924, in American Fork to Joseph Wilford and Verna Helen Gibson Nielson. He married Mamie Lee Adams June 23, 1945, in Dillion, S.C. He was a security officer, retired from Tooele Ordnance Depot and a veteran of World Warll.
