Show Monte Lee funds flagpole at Pageant Center Monte Lee, a 1951 graduate of American Fork High School, is now a commercial pilot for American Airlines, flying the Houston to Sacramento route. While visiting his mother in American Fork over the Christmas holiday, Lee toured the former high school building, now occupied by Utah Pageant of the Arts and known as the "Pageant Center." A former schoolmate, Betty Nelson Brady, chairman of the Pageant board of trustees, and David O. Brockbank, Pageant producing director, conducted con-ducted the tour. To confirm his belief in the Pageant development project, Lee donated $500 as a memorial gift, plus an in-kind contribution of a computer. He volunteered to represent .the Pageant fund-raising in Texas and challenges all American Fork High School alumni to support the arts projects spon- I sored by Utah Pageant of the Arts. The cash contribution will pay for restoration of the building flagpole. A small bronze plaque will be at- I tached to the pole in memory of Mr. J Lee's father, the late Clifford E. ! Lee, who also attended local schools. In accepting the gift, Mrs. Brady expressed her appreciation and pledged a more vigorous effort to involve alumni in the fund raising effort. |
