Show Loaded school bus struck on icy road , An Alpine School District bus was struck in the rear on Dec. 20 when a car following could not stop on the icy road at 200 S. 349 East, Pleasant Grove. Officer Cody Cullimore said that the fully loaded bus, driven by Clair , Lloyd, was slowing down for the stop . sign at 300 East and a Jeep driven by Mark Davis, 160 S. 1400 East, which I was behind the bus could not stop in time to avoid hitting the rear of the j bus. j No one was injured in the mishap, j The officer said the road was very i slick at the time of the accident. J Damage to the Jeep was set at I $1,000 and there was only $100 I damage to the bus. ! Two neighbors collided head on ' near the intersection of Cherry Hill ! Drive and 200 South as one was ' entering from 200 South and the I other was leaving Cherry Hill Drive. Involved in the collision were Van Bulkley, 729 Cherry Hill Circle driving a 1978 AMC Concord, and 1 Virgil Jacobson, 731 Cherry Hill Circle, driving a Chrysler New Yorker. There were no injuries, according to Officer Cody Cullimore, but damage to the Bulkley car was $1,500 and $600 to the Jacobson vehicle. |
