Local residents are cm-ouratfrd to attend. will appear in concert tonight with the Ralph Woodward Chorale in the A Cappella Choir to perform in Tabernacle The PGHS A Cappella Choir will have the honor-of appearing in a special concert tonight at 8 o'clock in the Provo Tabernacle, when they sing with the Ralph Woodward Chorale. I The choir was given the special invitation of appearing with the ( chorale last fall, and will sing this ! evening as the special guests of this j fine group. The concert will open with the combined groups singing "Jubilate Deo," by Gabrieli, and "The Hundredth Psalm." The A Cappella will then give a special segment of the concert by themselves, singing the "Crusader's Hymn," "For God So Love The World," by Distler, "Russian Picnic," with Julie Brown as soloist and Andrea Rowley at the Diano, and the "Hodie Christus Natus Est," by Poulenc. The Chamber Choir will then perform "Matona Mia Cara" by di Lasso, and the A Cappella will finish with "Battle Hymn of the Republic," which was so popular by the choir at the World's Fair in Knoxville, Tenn. two years ago. The public is invited and members mem-bers of the A Cappella Choir are hopeful that Pleasant Grove students will turn oui to sli'.w, i.u ,( support and hear an evening of outstanding music. Tickets are $3 for adults, $3 for students and $7.50 for a family. The A Cappella Choir has been given several honors in the past, and is eagerly looking forward to appearing in New York this spring, where they will sing in a concert by themselves in St. Patrick's Cathedral on Easter Sunday. |
