Show Public hearing to discuss uses for block grant money Pleasant Grove City Council will hold a public hearing at the beginning of the regular city council meeting Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. to discuss ideas for block grant applications. Mayor David Holdaway has suggested that the city could ask for funds to bring the sewer line to the Firwood Subdivision area, or put in sidewalks near the Manila School or I the Valley View School. Residents are invited to attend the meeting to discuss other ideas for use of block grant programs. At 7:30 p.m. the city engineer will discuss the progress on water projects and at 8 p.m. the city attorney at-torney will meet with the council. Allen Strasburg is scheduled to discuss the sand drag racing program with the city council at 8 p.m. Open time for citizens not on the agenda to address the council is set for 8:30 p.m. Planning Commission recommendations recom-mendations will be heard at 9 p.m. Other items to be discussed include retirement benefits for city employees, em-ployees, phone system for the city shops, availability of the community com-munity sign for announcements, and business as presented by each councilman. |
