Show Manila DUP exchange gifts Manila Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers held their Christmas party and meetirig at the home of Connie Bullock, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Singing of Christmas carols was held and the opening prayer was by Janet Humble. Captain Effie Adams conducted the meeting. She gave an account of the Country Christmas Program and luncheon, and encouraged greater participation at county meetings. . Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. The lesson was given by Barbara Rushton. She told some of the incidents in the lives of the three witnesses to the Book of Mormon. The 12 early apostles were chosen. Of these six were excommunicated. Two of these came back into the church. The program was under the direction, of Connie Bullock. Each' member told a family tradition they had at Christmas time. Gifts were exchanged, followed by refreshments served by hostesses Connie Bullock and Effie Adams. Sixteen members were present.- |
