Show Approves revised 1983-84 budget A disappointed Pleasant Grove City Council approved a revised 1983-84 budget Tuesday night after learning they would not end up with the surplus they had anticipated. Pleasant Grove built a $56,000 surplus into the budget last year to help pay off the deficit in the general fund. According to Mark Johnson, city recorder, the surplus will only be about $10,000. The recreation budget went over by about $20,000 plus bits and pieces from other departments. The current year's budget was $1,539,262 with $56,254 earmarked for surplus to decrease the deficit. The estimated expenditures on the revised budget show $1,589,948. The city council had estimated revenues for the current fiscal year would be $1,595,516. The estimated actual revenues in the current year should be $1,599,775. |
