Show Barbeque, catch a show, one price at Sundance I Pay the price for an outdoor mountain barbeque and get a ticket to Sundance Summer Theatre's popular show free of charge. It's a new promotional gesture by Sundance management who are hoping to shift some of the heavy weekend and Monday night crowds to mid-week. "For $9.95 we're offering a barbeque bar-beque and admission to the show every Tuesday evening from 5:30 to . 7:30 for the remainder of the summer," said Sundance Manager Brent Beck. "1 think the public will really enjoy just being up here for an evening, watching Ihe kids run loose on grass while they relax and enjoy the smell of barbequed meal ,. mingled with pine trees," added Beck. The menu will vary from Tuesday to Tuesday, but will primarily consist of a barbequed meal such as chicken, steak, chops or spare ribs, "i addition to a varietv of salads, brinks and breads. "We hate turning people away," said Beck, "but on Monday nights and weekends some times that's exactly what we end up having to do. Our new plan is to continue offering the bargain rate of $2.50 per ticket on Monday nights, the barbeque on Tuesdays, leave Wednesdays and weekends open, and invite groups to attend the show on Thursday - groups such as reunions, family home evening groups, ward parties, etc." People can always be assured of getting into the show or barbeque by making advance reservations. Sundance cautions non-paying visitors to the picnic area to call first if they plan to bring up a large group, since it is occasionally necessary to turn picnickers away in order to accomodate organized parlies and private groups. Shows are "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," playing on even numbered nights and "Sound of Music" beginning July 9, on odd numbered nights. They are performed per-formed every night except Sunday at 8:30 p.m. |
