Show Sr. Citizens donate baby quilts to PI. Grove Ambulance Assn. Some experts at quiltmaking spent a couple of days putting together some baby quilts for the ambulance last month. Christie Kirkman, Reva Warburton, Florence Miller, Theora Blaine, and Lottie Carlson, all members of the WWwyJy ' . ' ; ' ) unique group known as senior citizens, donated some of their time to provide the Pleasant Grove Ambulance with some much-needed quilts. This is not the first time the group has donated quilts to the ambulance, but the quilts are not something the ambulance is able to keep permanently. per-manently. They are used specifically to wrap up newborn babies who just happen to choose being born in the ambulance over the hospital. The babies are then sent home in the quilts. Doug Bezzant, a member of the crew, told Lottie last month that the quilts they had donated before were gone. So the seniors got busy and quilted them two more. One of the quilts was designed by Lottie's daughter. Lottie is the chairman of the quilt committee. They get a lot of support from the senior citizen director, Ruth Hassenfritz, too. Besides being a good director, "she's our official needle-threader," says Lottie. Robert Williams accepted the quilts on behalf of the ambulance crew.
