Show Elementary Age Basketball Standings Recreation officals have announced the standings in the city's elementary-age boys basketball program. Sixth grade scoring leader for each team are Adam Taylor with 80 points; Mike Brittain, 72; Cory Carter and Jason Sorensoni 68; Ricky Mayo, 41; Stacey West, 40; Emerson Barton, 32 and David McKay 20. Top scorers from each team in the fifth grade are Dave Flinders with 171 points; Chad Peacock, 120; Brooke Blackhurst, 108; Noel Stott, 95; Derik Dickerson, 89; Craig Hayde, 82; Steve Atwood, 60; Jon Slater, 52; Burke Watkins, 51; Bill Holman, 47; Darin Gilbert, 40 and Brett Rodrigues, 39. Fourth grade scoring leaders for each team are Jeff Swenson with 101 ; Randy Mayo, 64; Darrin Brown, 64; Mike Jacklin, 52; Nathan Ash, 40; Andy Weight and Scott Johnson, 36; Brett Gilert, 28; and Matt Robinson, 27; Keith Newman, 26; and Adam Rupper, 17. Oficials report that the boys are doing a good job and having a good time The games will continue until Feb. 28 and then a tournament will be held March 2 -6. The recreation department reminds parents that every other Saturday the fourth graders will play two 45-minute games. Leading the league among the fourth grade teams is the Stuffers with a record of 6 wins and 0 losses. Other teams and their standings are Flyers, 4-2; Vikings, 1-5; Stompers, 3-3- Cougar Cats, 4-2; Pacers, 2-4; Super Stars, 1-5; Cougars, 5-1; Lakers, 3-3; Wildcats, 4-2; and Buccanees, 3-3. . In the fifth grade standings are the Runaways, 5-2; Cougars 6-1; Shooters, 1-6; Vikngs, 1-5; Eagles, 4-3- All Stars, 7-0; Cougar Cats, 5-2; siammers, 1-6; Jumpers, 2-5; Astros, 1-6 lakers, 6-1 ; and Super Jocks, 3-3 ; . Standings in the sixth grade are Big Mac 2-2; Super Sonics, 4-0; Jazz, 2-2; Steel'ers, 0-4; Cougars, 2-2; Super Stars, 0-4; Islanders, 4-0; and Leapers, 2-2. |
