Show Impressive Services Held For Sarah J. Meredith Sarah Myrl Jones Meredith, 65 of American Fork, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, in the American Fork Hospital. She was born Aug. 5, 1915 in Lehi, a daughter of Evan John and Jemima Hansen Jones. She married Kenneth Edward Meredith on May 8, 1933 in Provo, and the marriage was solemnized later in the Manti LDS Temple. She was active in the LDS Church, serving as Relief Society president, visiting teacher and primary workers. Survivors include her husband, one son, Gary Edward Meredith, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren; grand-children; two great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Mrs. J.L. (Vida) Bar-nhart, Bar-nhart, Hinckley, Millard County; Blaine L. Jones and Mrs. Herbert (Irene) Edwards both of Lehi. Funeral services for Sarah Myrle ' Jones Meredith were held Saturday,, Feb. 7 at the Wing Mortuary. Mrs. Meredith passed away Feb. 4. Alice Turner played the prelude and postlude music and the family prayer was spoken by Gary Meredith. Bishop J.M. Bowman announced the services and Joyce Meredith Christensen offered the opening prayer. A musical number "Goin' Home" was furnished by Gary Cannon. Joyce Ann Jones gave the biographical sketch. Speakers were LaVar Huntsman and Glen Christiansen. Steven Meredith and Gina Pearson performed the beautiful hymn, "I Need Thee Every Hour". Melvin Meredith offered the benediction. The dedicatory prayer at Pleasant Grove Cemetery was by Paul Meredith. Serving as pallbearers were Melvin Meredith, Paul Meredith, Larry Bar-nhart, Bar-nhart, David Barnhart, Guy Edwards and Mike Jones. The many beautiful flowers were cared for by the American Fork Seventh Ward Relief Society. |
