Show Dr. Kenneth Orton Dies At Home was co-owner of Bookcraft, Inc. and Publisher's Press and was secretary of his high priests quorum at the time of his death. His survivors are his wife; five sons and one daughter, Mark Kenneth Ken-neth Orton, Pocatello, Idaho; Mrs. Bart (Michelle) Saxey, West Valley City; Douglas Ray Orton, Ross, Calif.; David Russell, Sean Thomass and Scott Steven Orion, all of Alpine; a brother and sister, Russell Orton, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Joseph (Doris) Childress, Flagstaff, Ariz. Entombment was at the Berg Sunset Lawn Memorial Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to Cedars Development School for retarded children in care of Bookcraft, Inc. ALPINE- Funeral services for Dr. Thomas Kenneth Orton, 48, who died Tues., Aug. 11, 1981, at his home, were he'd at 11 a.m. at the Alpine Second Ward Chapel, 165 N. 100 E. He was born Feb. 22, 1933 in Sandy to John Kenneth and Frankie Graves Orton. He married Diane Bevan Aug. 16, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was graduated from BYU and the University of Maryland Medical School. Upon graduation, he was elected to the AOA Honorary Medical Society. He served an internship at the LDS Hospital and one year residency in surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Fran-cisco. He served four years of residency in radiology at Sanford University, and was a member of the radiology staff there. He was on the medical staff at St. Marks Hospital where he was associated in the practice of diagnostic radiology for the past 14 years. He was a member of numerous state and national medical organizations. He was chairman of the division of radiology at St. Marks Hospital at the time of his death. He was active in the youth programs and was president of the WBBA in Alpine. He was founder of the soccer league in Alpine and was a member of the BYU Cougar club and an ardent supporter of all BYU athletics. He |
