This will be a brief explanation of the or-dinance. Section 1 is the grant of the franchise. It also says that we will furnish the city with a complete set of maps indicating where our lines will be placed before actual construction begins. Section 2 indicates that this franchise is and the city has the right to grant a similar fran-- , chise to another cable company. Section 3 indicates that our company is obligated to complete the cable television system within 18 months of the effective date of the franchise ordinance. Section 4 indicates that the term of the franchise is 15 years with an automatic extension of an ad-ditional five years if all the terms of the fran-chise have been met. Section 5 talks about our obligations con-cerning the use of streets and easements within the city. It in-dicates that we will place all of our equip-ment in accordance with the requirements of the National Elec-trical Safety Code and that we will obtain the proper permissions from the city of Lehi. Section 6 talks about various safety requirements that the company is obligated to, procedures used in cases where our lines have to be moved, tree trimming etc. Section 7 indicates that the system to be installed by the cable television company shall be capable of providing a minimum of 35 channels and shall be capable of two-wa- y transmissions. Section 8 talks about insurance coverages. Section 9 indicates that we will maintain an office within the city limits of Lehi and have on hand enough per-sonnel to operate and maintain the system. Section 10 indicates that we will comply with all federal, state and local laws. Section 11 indicates various violations of this ordinance, including illegal connections. Section 12 concerns payment for damages to the cable system. Section 13 indicates that the company will not discriminate among persons with regard to race, color, creed, sex or religious preference. Public Notice Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Lehi City will conduct its regularly scheduled Council Meeting on Tuesday, August 25, 1981, at the Lehi City Hall located at 51 North Center, Lehi, Utah. Brown Acting City Recorder Lehi Advertisement For Bids Separate sealed bids for the construction of the LEHI MAIN STREET PEDESTRI-AN SAFETY PROJECT will be received by Lehi City Corporation at 51 North Center Street, Lehi, Utah, 84043, until 7:30 p.m., (MST), September 8, 1981, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Prequalifi-cation- s through the Utah Department of Transportation is re quired. The project includes 2500 feet of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and a small bridge extension. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of ARIX, located at 1815 South State, Suite 100, Orem, Utah, 84057, upon payment of a $10.00 fee for each set, no part of which will be refunded. Published in the Lehi Free press Aug. 20, 27 and Sept. 3, 1981. Lehi City Pretreatment Ordinance No. SECTION 1 General Provisions 1.1 Purpose and Policy. This ordinance sets forth uniform requirements for direct and indirect con-tributors into the wastewater collection and treatment system for the City of Lehi, Utah and enables the City to comply with all applicable State and Federal laws required by the Clean Water Act of 1977 and Federal laws required by the Clean Water Act of 1977 and the General Pretreatment Regulat- - ions (40 CFR, Part 403). The objectives of this ordinance are: (a). To prevent the introduction o f pollutants into the municipality wastewa-ter system which will interfere with the operation of the system Ol COllLdOlLlldlC LUC resulting sludge; (b) To prevent the introduction of pollutants into the municipal wastewater system which will pass through the system, inadequately treated, into receiving waters or the atmosphere or otherwise be in-compatible with the system; (c) To improve the opportunity to recycle and reclaim wastewater and sludges from the system; and (d) To provide for equitable distribution of the cost of the municipal wastewater system. This ordinance provides for the regulation of direct and indirect contributors to the municipal wastewater system through the issuance of permits to certain users and through enforcement of general requirements for the other users, authorizes monitoring and enforcement ac-tivities, requires user reporting, assumes that existing customer's capacity will not be preempted, and provides for the setting of fees for the equitable distribution of costs resulting from the program established herein. This ordinance shall apply to the City of Lehi and to persons outside the City who are, by contract or agreement with the City, Users of the City POTW. This ordinance is a sup-plement to Ordinance No. as amended. Except as otherwise provided herein, the Superintendent of the City collection system shall administer, im-plement, and enforce the provisions of this ordinance.
