Show Battle Creek Camp, DUP Met Mar. 12 On Mar. 12, the Battle Bat-tle Creek Camp, DUP met at the home of Thelma Yorgason with Gertrude Richards as co-hostess. FirstVice Captain Cora Messersmith was in charge of the meeting. She welcomed all who were there. Song was led by Florence Holt, "AJolly Wagoner." Prayer was given by Chaplain Alta Hone and minutes and roll by Secretary Cora Bezzant. Captain Maymetta Johnson gave an announcement an-nouncement about a daughter for "Days of '47". She should be 18 to 26, not married, and a granddaughter or great granddaughter of a pioneer. Alta Hone announced that this year it is the Battle Creek Camp's turn to take care of the Pioneer building and Log Cabin. Cora Messersmith gave an interesting life story of the great-grandmother, great-grandmother, Marie Elsinore Ellis. Lesson leader Viola Cowley gave a very interesting in-teresting lesson on "Freighters and Freighting by Wagon Train" before the railroad came. She told of the hardships and experiences of some of these.
