Show Valley View Will Hold PTA Meeting Tonight at 7:00 Tonight at Valley View School, Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m a PTA meeting for parents and teachers will be held. PTA election of offices for next year will take place. Nominations submitted by the PTA nominating committe are: Pres. Elect Janet Whelchel, Secretary -Joyce Oscarson, Treasurer - Maurine Johnson, Teacher Vice Pres - Karen Marcus. Election of these candidates will be by yes or no vote. Additional nominations may be made from the floor. Consent of nominee to run for office must first be obtained. Fred Lavine will present information infor-mation on former Soccer Teams. Following the elections, sidewalk and canal safety will be discussed by invited guest speakers; a representative represen-tative from the Police Department, Frank Mills, Norman Barton, and E. Mark Bezzant. The 5th Note Singers from the fifth fif-th grade will sing. Games for the classes that were purchased from the PTA membership member-ship drive will be on display. Alice Barnes, PTA President will be conducting the meeting. Please come and support Valley View and your children. The second and fifth grade students at Valley View elementary have been involved in the Green Circle and Growing Cirles of Man. These presentations were given by Linda Giles. The Green Circle and Growing Circle of Man is a program where the children are taught the importance impor-tance of being kind to everyone and accepting them for what they are. It is a good program about predjudice. The boys and girls enjoyed the program and were given a lot to think about. |
