I, Mark Johnson, City Recorder of Pleasant Grove City, Utah do hereby certify that the above and foregoing is a full true and correct copy of an Ordinance passed by the City Council of Pleasant Grove, Utah on the 19th day of December, MB An opening meeting for all community resident interested in becoming Crisis Line Volunteers, is scheduled for Thur-sday, January 25, 1979 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 311 of the Utah County Building in Provo. According to Gary Burlingame, Vice-Preside-of the Crisis Line training program, the meeting is "for people interested in working on the Crisis Line as a volunteer." He said that each ap-plicant will be con-sidered, but must commit themselves to completing a k training program and to work for the line for 3 months before they are officially on as line workers. After training, which involves professional guidance to com-munication skills, suicide prevention, listening ear, rape in-tervention, and crisis calls, the volunteer are asked to sign up for 3 hour shift each week. "We would like to find people who have time to donate and have a genuine concern for people," added Mr. Burlingame. DRILL TEAM Craig Bennington, Willie Mc-Knig- Melvin Shafer, Matt Arnold, were on Nauvoo Drill Team demonstration at Lindon. Nauvoo Rifle Drill Team Demonstrated Routines At Lindon Elementary Stephen Athans, BYU student working in our second grade arranged for a group from the Nauvoo Rifle Drill team to demon-strate their routines for the Lindon elementary students. This team represents BYTJ Department of Military Science in competition all over the Western States. Their performance was excellent. They impressed the students as their rifles snapped to the various positions during the drill, spin-ning, throwing the rifles with precise ac-curacy kept the students spellbound. This presentation added another possible vocation to the many demonstrated each year at Lindon. Some students undoubtedly will choose the armed forces as their career. Hopefully this ex-perience will help them make that choice. Notice of Public Hearing The Pleasant Grove City Planning Com-mission will meet Thur-sday, Feb. 1 at the city hall.
