Show JAY GLENN R0UNDY OLIVER K JOHNSON L. GAE HILL Citizens Party Candidates Named The Lindon Citizens Party met last Thursday, and worked at nominating three candidates for the city council post. Some problems developed however, and the party had to work out some compromises. According to party officers, candidates can-didates who work for public utilities are not eligible for election to city offices, of-fices, and they passed by at least two candidates who were in that category to select the three candidates who will run. Selected were Oliver K. Johnson, L. Gae Hill and Jay Glenn Roundy. Jay Glenn Roundy Jay Glenn Roundy was born in continued on page 10 Citizens Party continued from page 1 American Pork and is a graduate of the American Fork High School and Utah State University. He has a degree in Landscape Architecture Ar-chitecture and Environmental Planning Plann-ing with specialization in city and regional planning and design. He is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and is presently executive officer in the 786th Quartermaster Co. in Provo. He has had past experience as a commissioner for Lindon City and as chairman of the Board of Adjustments Ad-justments for Zoning. Along with many articles published in engineering and technical journals, he has nationwide speaking assignments relating to his work in analyzing environmental criteria for projected impacts into the Ecosystem using advanced visual techniques. As a landscape architect and environmental en-vironmental planner, he has worked extensively with Western State governments and all federal land management agencies and utilities in the preparation of environmental impact im-pact statements and environmental records. He is married to the former Nikki Sue Harris and has four children, Jason, Tiffany, Kalee and Heather. Oliver K. Johnson Oliver K. John son is a retired self employed truck driver. He was born and raised in the vicinity of Lindon and has served on the city council of Lindon three times in the past. He has served in varous LDS Church positions, having been an acitve member all of this life. Oliver has an interest in his community com-munity and pledges to do his best to keep it a beautiful and safe place in which to live. He is the father of three children who all reside in Lindon. L. Gae Hill L. Gae Hill is a 12 year resident of Lindon City. She is the wife of De-mont De-mont E. Hill and is the mother of five children. She is a member of the LDS Church and nas held many positions of responsibility. She was given an award of special recognition by the Timpanogos District of the Boy Scouts of America, and also from the Order of the Arrow. Mrs. Hill has been an active PTA member and has served as vice chairman chair-man for the Republican Party from District 1 in Lindon. She pledges to work for the best interest in-terest of all the citizens of Lindon |
