Show JULY 20 1978 THURSDAY. JULY 20, 1978 PLEASANT GROVE REVIEW, PLEASANT GROVE, UTAH Watch Out . . . Club: Sundance A.F. Canyon Roads Maintenance will begin Monday, July 17, on some portions of roads in American Fork Canyon. Roads in this area receive heavy use because of the tremendous recreation opportunities in the canyon. Some roads are in need of repair so they may be safely traveled by summer visitors to the forest. Repair and resurfacing of these roads will be completed cooper-atively between the Uinta National Forest and the Utah County Road Department. Work will begin Monday on the North Fork Road which leads to Tibbie Fork Reser-voir, a popular fishing and camping area. Later in the week, repairs will be made on the road to Granite Flat Campground and the entrance to e Campground. The Cascade Scenic Drive will receive a seal and chip treat-ment that is an-ticipated to begin about Wednesday and may continue into the following week. The North Fork Road work should be completed within 1 week. The Forest Service and County want to advise motorists that loose gravel and road oil will be on these roads as improvements take place, and care should be taken when traveling them. It may be necessary, in some instances, to channel traffic into a single lane. Recreationists should plan to leave a little early when going into American Fork Canyon and Cascade Springs, as there may be time delays due to this road work. Utah County and the Forest Service thank the motorists for their cooperation and con-sideration as this maintenance work is being done. SLB&M, UTAH COUNTY, UTAH. Notice is hereby given that tentative approval was given by the Utah Division of Oil. The name of the mine is the Long Canyon Mine, and the person representing the company in this mat-ter is Mr. Robert L. Steele, 1075 North 400 East, Nephi, Utah. Interstate Brick Com-pany has fulfilled obligations under the Mined Land Reclamation Act of 1975 (Section 40-- U.C.A., 1953, as amended) and will employ the following reclamation techniques. During Operations: 1. Existing gravel roads will be used and about 1000 feet of new road will be built. 2. Soil and vegetation will be removed from about 15 acres of new disturbance. 3. An open pit will be developed to remove the clay. 4. Clay will be stockpiled for removal to the brick plant. 5. The mine will be maintained in a condition which will not create a public hazard. After Operations: 1. All equipment, struc-tures and debris will be removed from the surface. 2. Disturbed areas will be regraded to the extent possible. 3.
