UTAH Fireman's Auxiliary Holds Dinner Party The Women's Firemen Auxilary held their Halloween Dinner Party, October 13th. A delicious turkey dinner was served, and then Annette Mills super-vised several hilarious games. There were door prizes and the mystery guest was Annette Mills, introduced by Candi Scoville. The past officers were also recognized and presented with gifts. Those who prepared the dinner were Linda Hales, Margaret Boren, Ann Newman, Candi Scoville, June Fenton, and Velma Robbins. Thanks to all those who dared to come and have fun on Friday the 13th. 80th Brithday Open House Set for Ella Hebertson The children of Ella M. Hebertson will honor her at an 80th birthday open house on Saturday, October 28, from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Vineyard Ward Chapel, 1600 West 800 South in Orem. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. They request no gifts. Mrs. Hebertson was born November 25, 1898, in Mammoth, Utah, to John Joseph and Susan Elmina Scott Madsen. Her early years were spent in Lakeview, Utah, and in 80th BIRTHDAY Ella M. Hebertson sfield, California, Val M. Hebertson of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. John A. (JoAnn) Thomas of Provo. She has 32 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Vineyard Camp of the DUP, in which she has been vice captain and chaplain. She has also been active in civic and political organizations. Her current hobbies include writing, hand-work, and gardening. Mrs. Hebertson has six sons and one daughter, Keith' M. Hebertson, Dr. Wayne M. Hebertson, Dr. Richard M. Hebertson, and David' M. Hebertson, all of Salt Lake City, Dr. Leon M. Hebertson of Baker- - 1902 the family moved to Vineyard. She at-tended Provo and Pleasant Grove high schools and Brigham Young University. She married Thorit C. Hebertson on June 22, 1921, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They spent most of their married life in Vineyard, except for a five-yea- r period during World War II when they lived in California. Mr. Hebertson died in 1966. An active member of the LDS church, Mrs. Hebertson has served as president of the Primary and in the presidencies of the Young Women and the Relief Society. She has been a literary leader for 15 years. She continues to serve as a Relief Society visiting teacher, as she has done for more than 50 years. She is a member of the MRS. DONALD CARTER (Kathy Shumway) Open House Planned for Recently Wed Couple relatives are invited to come . Kathy is a graduate of the Pleasant Grove High School, and is currently working at Grand Central. Donald attended Lehi High School and is working as a welder. The young couple are making their first home in Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Shumway announce the recent marriage of their daughter Kathy and Donald Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Carter of Lehi. The young couple were married Oct. 1 1 in Elko, Nevada. An open house has been planned in their honor on Friday, Nov. 3 at the Utah Valley Ar-chery Center, 1255 North 2300 West, Orem. Receiving will be from seven to nine p.m. and all friends and Eagles Set Costume Dance on Saturday The Fraternal Order of Eagles Pleasant Grove No. 3372 will hold a costume Halloween dinner dance Saturday, October 28. Chairmen, Kevin Swartz and Brett King report there will be a free door prize and several prizes for best costume. The evenings menu will include chicken fried steak, scalloped potatoes and vegtable. Music for the evening will be played by the Chapparalls. All proceeds from this event will go towards Christmas Mark Thomas and Valerie Jean Woodcox charities. Valerie Woodcox to Wed Mark Thomas Oct. 27 Mr. and Mrs. Larry K. Woodcox announce ;the forthcoming ; marriage of their daughter Valerie Jean to Mark O. Thomas son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Dean Thomas of Heber, Utah. The couple will be married Friday, Oc-tober 27, 1978 in the Manti Temple. A reception will follow that evening at the Timpanogos Stake Center from 7 to 10 p.m. The couple will make their home in Heber, Utah. Grandparents of the Bride are Mr. and Mrs. LaVar K.
