Show R ASS LER Cowboy grabs steer in preparation to rolling him in steer wrestling event. Rodeo will be big thing at Wasatch County Fair. Wasatch County Fair Will Have Two-Night rodeo One of the major attractions of the Wasatch County Fair for many people is the rodeo held each year for two nights in a row. This all professional rodeo, produced by Swannee Kirby, presents world's champion cowboys engaging in calf roping, bronc riding, steer wrestling and bull riding. A real thrill is promised to rodeo fans who attend the Wasatch County Coun-ty Fair events of their choice during Fair Week August 1-5, 1978. Other featured events include two big parades, a talent show, horse races and a demolition derby. The rodeo will be held on Aug. 4 and 5 at the Wasatch County Fair grounds in Heber City. Grand entry is scheduled each evening at 8 p.m. Two parades will be presented on Aug. 4 and 5, beginning at 6 p.m. each night down the Main Street of HeberCity. The demolition derby is set for the night of Aug 2 at the fair grounds arena. Prizes will be given for first, second and third place. Thursday night, Aug 3, is the evening for the talent show to be held in the Wasatch High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Horse races are scheduled Friday and Saturday, Aug. 4 and 5 at 2 p.m. at Heber City Racetrack. Races are open to all interested entrants. Race regulations will be given Tuesday, Aug 1. For more information call 654-3666 in Heber. Other events scheduled for the week are a tractor driving contest, junior fat stock show, arts and crafts, craf-ts, home gardening and a flower show. Exhibits open Thursday, Aug 3, at noon at the Junior High School. |
