Timp Stake Relief Society Plans a Family Preparedness Day for Saturday, April 30 Relief Societies of the stake. Parents and older children are invited to attend this special event. Informative classes of instruction will be given on Saturday, April 30, 1977 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Family Preparedness Seminar and Fair at the Timpanogos Stake Center. Some of the subjects to be covered by several guest speakers are Money Management, Family Legal Matters, Social and Emotional Preparedness and several factets of food storage. T - i CRAIG VERN NELSON AND MISS HEATHER FISHER Heather Fisher, Craig Nelson Plan Salt Lake Temple Rites scholarship to BYU where she is currently in her Junior year. She plans to continue her education. She is majoring in Humanities. In her high school years she was active in music and drama. She was a national merit scholarship finalist and continues to excell in her college studies. Craig, a sophomore at BYU, is majoring in com-munications. He served an LDS Mission in Brazil North. He plans to continue his education. The couple plan to make their home in Provo following their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. James R. Fisher of Pleasant Grove are happy to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter. Heather to Mr. Craig Vern Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernen Nelson of Missoula, Montana. They will be sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Friday, April 22. A reception will be held in their honor that same evening from 7:30 to 9:30' p.m. in the Pleasant Grove 6th-10t- h Ward Cultural Hall. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. An open house will also be held at the Missoula Stake Center in Missoula, Montana, the following Friday, April 29, 1977. , Heather graduated with honors from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Seminary. She received a Special Interest Activities Are Listed for Week The Yound Special Interest Friday Dance & Interest Fare will be located in Orem, 1000 North Main, this week. All youth over 14 are invited free of charge to both activities. A special Workshop is scheduled with v Curtic Brinkman, Olympic gold medal winner for the wheel chair division. The Fare begins at 7:30 with the dance to follow at 9. The band is Latter Day Sensations and the dress is nice casual. A Pot Luck Dinner is scheduled for April 29 before the Interest Fare at 7. On May 6 all priesthood and Relief Society leadership and partners over Special In-terest activities are invited to a special dance. Information has been given to each Bisbhop or contact the Special Interest leaders. The Area Conference is scheduled for July 29, 30, and 31. Registration is now available contact stake leaders. Davis of Pleasant Grove are pleased to announce the forth-coming marriage of their daughter Debra to Michael Mark Crane, son of Dr. and Mrs. A. Peter Crane of Murray. The young couple have chosen April 22 to be married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. The only 4-- horse clubs in the Pleasant Grove area are making plans for a big year. Older members are diligently preparing for a national horse judging contest and wU be sponsering several fund raising projects. Meanwhile they will also be coaching, along with leader Janee Runolfson, the younger members to prepare them for the 4-- horse shows and lots of fun and enjoyment. Both clubs will meet at the Runolf-son arena in Manila once each week. Anyone interested in joining a 4-- Club must sign up before June 1. Robert G. Proctors Have Visitors During Conference The Robert G. Proctors were very happy with a surprise visit from their daughter Janis Proctor Clegg and her 2'A year old twin daughters Sharon and Caron Clegg from Boonton, New Jersey. The family flew in to Salt Lake City with their father, Bishop Almon Clegg, while he attended conference. Janis and the twins helped to celebrate Grandmother Proctos 75th birthday. Also the Proctors grandson and wife Lyn and Annette Condo called to see them, thev were conference visitors also. They were on the return to their home in Las Vegas Nevada. Variety Club Met With Beth Warburton Recently The Variety Club had its April meeting at the home of Beth Warburton. Bouquets of daffodils and Easter decorations were placed about the room giving each one the feeling of spring and Easter time. A lovely luncheon was ser-ved by the hostess who was assisted by her daughter Sherrie Ashton. Cleverly decorated candy Easter eggs were the favors each one recieved. Door prizes were given, and won by Eva Reynolds and Louise Johnson. Some business matters were taken care of and a good time was had by all those at-tending. Cascade Ladies Golf Assn to Meet Thursday Cascade Ladies Golf Assn. announces invites everyone to their opening social, Thur-sday evening, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cascade Golf Course. Mothers Study Club Entertdine By Deane Paulson Saturday tioned were: Lydia Hilton, Arvilla Harvey, Lucille Walker, Mae Jensen, Madge Christensen, Maud Richards, and Rose Radmall. A very pleasant and nostalgic afternoon was spent at the home of Mrs. Dean Paulson Saturday, when her granddaughters, Kathryn and Barbara, entertained mem-bers of the Mothers Study Club with a variety program. Kathryn and Barbara are the daughters of Richard and Jean Paulson, former residen-ts of Pleasant Grove, but now living in Walnut Creek, California. They are atten-ding Brigham Young Univer-sity and studying music. They sang songs that were popular in the 20's, 40's and 50's, as well as classical and religious favorites, played the flute and violin, and danced the Charleston. They also stirred childhood memories with poems that are dear to the heart of everyone, be they young or old. A delicious spring luncheon was prepared and served by Mrs. Paulson, Geneva War-nic- k and Ilene Beck. The Aerie will hold their election's on May 5th in the Aerie home. The election poles will be open from 4 o'clock p.m. till 8 o'clock p.m. The Auxiliary will hold their elections on May 10th, following the opening of the business meeting at 8 o'clock p.m. the poles will be open from 8 o'clock p.m. till 9 o'clock p.m. Snazzy Sewers Start 4-- H Year With Elections The Snazy Sewers have started their 4-- Club. Leader is Andrea Olsen. They elected officers and Jeniffer Carter is president; Chalea Cladsby vice president and Kimerly Tingey is secretary. Bonita Bratt is reporter and Jylien Walker and Kathleen Ash are in charge of activities. The club plans to have lots of fun this year. Parents Without Partners to Have Several Events People Without Partners are planning a fun dinner dance next Friday night. The time is 6:30 p.m. and the place is the Community Church in Provo, 175 North University Ave. The price is $1.50 plus your favorite pot luck dish and your own dishes. They will also have a raffle. The public is invited and children are welcome. Proceeds are to be used to send delegates from Parents Without Partners to the zone convention in May. Notice of Public Hearing (Future Use of Old Junior High Building) The city council will meet with all interested citizens on Tuesday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove City Hall to discuss the future use and disposition of the Old Junior High Building located at 100 East 200 South. This property was recently acquired by the city and the council is desirous of ob-taining the feelings of local citizens concerning the possible uses of this building. All interested citizens are invited to attend this meeting and express their opinions.
