Show Utah tourism. Whafs it to you? Where does the toorlst spend his mony? Is tourism important to Mountainland? Utah State University reports that tourists spent about $22 million here in 1975. How was the money spent? $5,280,000 in restaurants and grocery stores $5,060,000 for hotel, motel, and campground facilities $7,700,000 for gasoline, oil, and other automotive needs $2,860,000 for toothpaste, soap, shoes, and the hundreds of other retail items they needed $220,000 in tips, phone calls, other services $880,000 for movies, rodeos, all entertainment Tourist expenditures benefit every resident of our region, directly or indirectly. This year, tell the visitors you meet about everything Utah has to offer. Invite them to stay an extra day. It'll pay!
