Show Linden Council Problems Are Many, Seiver, Home Building cost for such a line would be $30,695.60. Mayor Johnson said he had probably misinformed Mr. Olsen in telling him there would be a 10 inch line put in soon to service that area. David Thurgood stated there are several industries that would be interested in locating in Lindon if water were available. Douglas Johnson asked if Wayne Johnson had other priorities for the $75,000 grant just awarded Lindon City. Wayne said John Darrington will come to the ntxt city council meeting to discuss the pros and cons in using this money and perhaps at that time Lindon City will choose not to use it. In the application for the Housing (Continued on Page 7) The Lindon City Council met in their regular meeting Tuesday. Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Willard Johnson conducted and Councilmen Douglas Johnson, JVar Gillman, Wayne Johnson, Briad Pead and Nyal Smith were present as were Harold Erickson, recorder and Elvie Erickson, treasurer. Wayne Johnson reported the road to Dry Canyon Springs had been completely shut off and that the Forest Service and Lindon City will rebuild the road, and put some culverts in it. Wayne Johnson said he would ask the Forest Service for permission to install a gate with lock and key with permission of the Forest Service and State to keep it closed during the winter months. Wayne further , reported both collection box lids had been vandalized. Cou-icilman Johnson also said he had received a call from Jack Olsen stating he wanted a water hookup at Randall Steel as soon as possible. He said the city was supposed to have water available for him. Mr. Johnson informed Mr. Olsen that there was a water line in front of his property and there were no plans at this time to install such a water line. Wayne further informed the council he had asked David Thurgood to make a survey as to how much a 10 inch line would cost. It is possible Mr. Olsen could pay for the line and then collect from all who later hook on to it. The council agreed that it had been discussed but that they have never agreed to put a water line down the highway that goes in front of this place of business. A discussion also had been held about having a 10 in?h line looping all the industrial area with some good sized lines for fire protection. Total estimated |
