Today in this world of liberality there are a few "wild Teenagers" concerned about the way things are and the way things should be. In Pleasant Grove's and Utah State Code book there are many uninforced Lav s which need to be changed. E. Mark Bezzant's law class at PGHS is buys at work with these laws. For instance, it's illegal in Pleasant Grove to throw a city limits? The bathing ordinance in Pleasant Grove states that "No one shall bath, or swim in Pleasant Grove waters without a swimming suit on, vhich if inforced would in-clude your own bathtub. A meeting will be held Saturday Dec. 11 in the girls gym. Pep Club Seeks All former Viqueens There is a march planned for Feb. 9, 1977 for all Alumni Viqueens. This march is for all Viqueens who have ever been in Pep Club. Ags is no limit. It will be a fun night and we really need yc.; support. There is a meeting Sat. Dec. 11 at 8:00 in the girls gym. Civil Air Patrol Has 35fh Birthday Celebration Civil Air Patrol celebrated its 35th anniversary on 1 December 1976. The Utah Wing held its annual Con-ference in conjuntion with this on 4 December 1976. The UtahWing scored three finds of downed aircraft in 1976. The Members of the Utah Mountian Region donated 2,881 mandays in search valued at $5 per hour. Civil Air Patrol was foun-ded by a group of light aviation enthusiasts and private pilots as a means of donating their time and air-craft for the nation's civilian defense efforts. Today the Patrol continues to perform many mercy missions; everything from transporting blood to airlifting critically ill persons to hospitals; to sear-ching for downed aircraft. BE IT FURTHER OR-DAINED AND DECLARED THAT when this ordinance takes effect, the said tract of land above described shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of Pleasant Grove City and all ordinances jurisdiction, rules, and obligations to or pertaining to said Pleasant Grove City are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to the said tract of land. Section 2. Upon passage of this ordinance, the City Recorder of Pleasant Grove City shall file and he is hereby directed to file, a copy of the map or plat above-mentione-duly certified, together with a certified copy of this ordinance. Ad-ditionally, the City Recorder is hereby directed to file with the State Tax Commission within 10 days of the passage of this ordinance notice of the annexation accomplished by this ordinance. Such notice shall contain a certification by the secretary that all necessary legal requirements relating to such annexation have been fully completed. In the opinion of the City Council it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of Pleasant Grove City that this ordinance take effect upon its first publication. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and first publication. Passed by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City this 7th day of December, 1976. W. CORNELL HAYNIE Mayor AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE EXTEN-DING THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT GROVE. Background. 1. On the 4th day of November, 1976, Wendell Hansen, the owner of real property as shown by the last assessment rolls, situated in the tract herein described, requested that said tract of land be taken within the limits of Pleasant Grove City. 2. Petitioner caused an ac-curate plot or map to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor to be filed with the City Recorder together with said petition. 3. Said tract of land is con-tiguous to Pleasant Grove City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed to and made a part of said city. 4. The City Council at a regular meeting held on November 16, 1976, after examining said petition of the said owners and considering the circumstances thereof voted by vote of more than two-third- s of all members of the City Council in favor of annexing said tract of land to Pleasant Grove City and directed that an ordinance should be passed annexing said territory and extension of the city limits of Pleasant Grove City accordingly. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah: Section 1.
