Show Kiwanis Plans Activities reported on activities of the publicity committee, and Merrill Warnick brought the clup up to date on money raising projects. Individual members reported repor-ted on their assignments in behalf of the United Fund Drive among the business people of the community. President Maurice Peterson called attention to a meeting called by Kiwanis Division Governor Gus Schede for all new officers to be held at the Royal Inn in Provo. President Peterson conducted cond-ucted last Saturdays meeting Bill Peterson led the club singing, Jay Hullinger led the pledge to the flag, and Bill Told gave the group prayer. The Kiwanis Club of Pleasant Grove planned their December activities at a breakfast business meeting last Saturday. Their Ladies Night Christmas dinner will be next Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Copper Kettle Restaurant in American Fork. The Fisher Family group will contribute con-tribute some of their beautiful music and Dr. Ellis Rasmussen, of Brigham Young University an expert on the holy lands, will present an illustrated talk especially appropriate for the Christmas season. The chairmen of various committees reported on their accomplishments for last month and their continuing plans for the future. Bill Peterson reported on Youth Services and Boyd Fugal on Membership Development. An interclub meeting with the Payson Kiwanis Club was attended by Rollo Blackhurst, Melin Radmall , Harry Derr and Maurice Peterson. Harry Derr, Chairman of the Civic Services Committee, Commit-tee, reported on progress and plans for the nearly completed com-pleted projects to remodel the Pleasant Grove Library and to build a suitable ticket office of-fice at the Rodeo Grounds. George Grass, of the Major Emphesis Committee told of plans to enlist the help of television stations, banks, etc., in an extensive major emphasis campaign to help safeguard the community aerainst crime.
