She may not win many races but each week whe is right in there, giving as good as she gets. She makes racing a good clean game. She js a very conscientious driver, and very much respected by all the other drivers. In the Stock class the bumps and crashes come often. Carolyn has taken and given her share since the first of the season. Caroly has only missed a couple of events since the first of the season and has helped out on all the work projects as well. Persistance pays off and Saturday she placed second in the Main event. Earlier in the year she won a heat race. The trophy dash winners were Melvin Radmall, Ron Gurdney, and Robert Newman. In the slow heat of the Super Stock class Marv Flatt was back in competition and really did some outstanding driving but Grant Leonard proved to great a challenge and he took the victory lap. The fast heat was a wild one. Marty West taking the wheel in his Dad's car show real potential. Mike Richins spun in front of the pack and drove into West putting him out with a flat tire. Danny Houston was not be outdone and really did a job on the troops as he pulled the lead and took the checkered flag. The Modified Main event was won by Craig Chynoweth after some real tricky driving. The Slow Stock main was a battle of wits as Greg Smigh in his Cadillac worked his way thru to 2nd place then lost it then regained it. Meanwhile Greg Miller took the win with a sizeable lead. Ray Chatwin went over the end of the track on turn four and Robert Newman did his usual thing as he drove into the lead. The Old Man's Race was a fun event for all those over forty who were willing to admit it. Pete Campbell who hag been doing a grat job announcsing came down off the judges stand to race. Graig's dad, Don Chynoweth entered as did Kent Roundy. The winner was Kent Roundy. Bicycle competitors were awed as Bob Carlisle showed them how to really do a wheelie.
