STEVE MITCHELL (Bobbie McDonald) Open House Saturday to Honor Recently Wed Young Couple Mrs. Betty Jean Kerby of Stockton, Utah announces the marriage of her daughter Bobbie Jean McDonald to Steven Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mitchell. The couple were married July 31 in Salt Lake City. Bobbie Jean and Steven both work at Desert Phar-- macutal in Sandy, Utah. They will make their home in Midvale. An Open House will be held September 8 from 7 - 9 p.m., in the garden of the grooms parents, 701 Locust Ave., Pleasant Grove. All relatives and friends are invited to at-tend. - . ; fC A v 1 ' 1'; IT c 1 - MISS MARILYNN JENSON AND DAVID WHITING Marilyn Jenson Plans Temple Wedding with David Whiting David Whiting and Marilynn Jenson will wed on September 8 in the Salt Lake Temple. Marilynn is the daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Melvin A. Jenson of Kamas, Utah and David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben E. Whiting of Pleasant Grove. A reception in their honor will be held on Friday, Sept. 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Kamas Stake Center, Kamas, Utah. Marilynn graduated from South Summit High School and was editor of the year-book and a seminary graduate. She served as a missionary to Indiana and Michigan and has attended Utah State University. Davis is a graduate of Utah State University and is now attending graduate school at Washington State University, Pullman, Washington. For the last two summers he was worked at Southwestern Washington Research Unit at Vancouver, Washington. David graduated from Pleasant Grove High School as an honor student and ser-ved in the Kansas Missouri Mission. He is also a high school seminary graduate. While at Utah State he was active in student government and served as a Senator his senior year. The young couple will make their home in Pullman, Washington, following their marriage. i ' . - , V is ' V . BRIAN ENGH AND MISS PAULA LEMMON Paula Lemmon, Brian Engh to Wed Sept. 3 in Los Angeles programmer for General Telephone in Marina Del Rey. Brian served a Business Manager and Student Body President while attending Pleasant Grove High School. He competed four years of schooling at Utah State University, majoring in Music. He is currently serving as a Stake Missionary in the Torrence, California North Stke. The groom is pursuing a career in Educational Film Production. Following a honeymoon to San Francsisco, the couple will make their home in Redondo Beach, California. Mr. and Mrs. Howard J. Engh of Lindon, Utah are Pleased to announce the for-thcoming marriage of their son, Brian to Paula Lemmon, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Hal E. Lemmon of Manhattan Beach, California. The couple will be wed September 3rd in the Los Angeles Temple, and will be honored that evening at a garden reception at the home of the bride's parents. Attending the bride as maid of honor will be Cindy Gleason, the sister of the bride. Don Shelline will serve as best man with Jim Ellsbury, Jeff West and Wayne Stout as attendents to the groom. The couple will be furthur honored at an open house, September 11, at the home of the groom's parents in Lindon. Paula was a graduate of El Camino College, and Brigham Young University, majoring Anthropology. She is presently employed as a computer v 1 s ' i WAYNE WOOLF AND MISS KATHRINE QUILTER Kathrine Quilter and Wayne Woolf Will Marry on Sept. 17 Kathrine M. Quilter, daughter of Mr. Glen A. Quilter and the late Mrs. Mary O. Quilter of American Fork, Utah will become the bride of Wayne Kirk Woolf, son of Mrs. Katherine Kirk Woolf of Pleasant Grove, Utah and Dr. Wilford W. Woolf of Apple Valley, California. They will be married on Friday, September 17, 1976 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. An open House Reception will honor the couple that same evening from 7:00 p.m.. to 9:00 p.m. at 245 East 100 South, Pleasant Grove, " Utah All friends and relatives are personally invited to attend. The bride to be is a graduate of American Fork High School and 4 year LDS Seminary., She attended Weber State College and graduated from Utah Technical College in Provo. Presently she is employed at Utah Vally Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. The prospective groom is a graduate of University High School, in Santa Monica, California. He served as a full time missionary in the California Mission. A Bachelor of Science degree was recieved from the BYU. Currently hs is enrolled in Pharmacy School at the University of Utah. Following their marriage the couple plan to reside in Salt Lake City. Marriage Rites Announced by Young Couple Mr. and Mrs. DeLoy Gurr announce the marriage of their daughter, Carol Elaine Fish to James Kelley, on Tuesday, Sedpt. 7 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Kocherhans in Clearfield, Utah. HOSPITAL NEWS Among babies born at the American Fork Hospital during the week ending Aug.2&, were the following parents from the Pleasant Grove area. August 25, a boy to David and Kerri Ince Jorgensen. Garden Club, Guests Have Summer Party Pleasant Grove Garden Club members and special guests participated in a most delightful summer party Thursday afternoon at the Garden Park recreation center in Orem. Arrangement for the social lunchion were made by Verland Saling, presently residing in Garden Park. A Pot Luck luncheon was enjoyed as well as an afternoon of visiting. First Vice. President Alice Simper, conducted a short business meeting, thanking those members who par-ticipated in the flower show at the Utah County Fair in Spanish Fork. Mrs. Simper also reminded the ladies of the State Convention to he held Sept 18th at the Garden Activity Center, Salt Lake City. Hosts for the W A G C Convention will be the Holliday Garden Club. Claudia Brown gave the club thought and minutes of the July meeting were read by Secretary Treasurer Velma Gillman.
