Show Cadmus Club Met At Home Of Mrs. Carol Jaynes Carol Jaynes welcomed the club members and the following guests of Cadmus club on Wednesday, Dec. 28, in Cadmus club meeting. Mrs. Fern Smith, Mrs. Meta Gammett, Mrs. Mae Jensen, Mrs. Lydia Hilton, Hil-ton, Mrs. Arvilla Harvey, Mrs. Venace Merrill, Mrs. Helen Wad-ley Wad-ley and Mrs. Marcelle Skinner. Carol Wells of the Educational Committee had charge of he program. pro-gram. Carol read a timely thought "Where Peace Begins." Thelma Adamson read a beautiful beaut-iful story, "The Shepherd Who Missed the Manger," by Rufus M. Jones. Lurena Warnick presented the life of the composer Handel followed follow-ed by playing the great oratorio "The Messiah" by recordings. "The Messiah" was composed of all the "noblest verses from the Bible referring to the coming and life of Christ. "The Messiah was presented in three parts. Thelma closed with "Inspirational "Inspirat-ional Thoughts" as wishes for the New Year. The hostess was assisted by Beulah Bradley. Club adjourned to meet at the home of Ida Brimhall on Jan. 9. |
