Show Four Young Men Get Air Force R0TC Scholarships Air Force ROTC recently announced the award of 2-year scholarships to the following juniors attending Brigham Young University and enrolled in the Air Force ROTC program: Arthur L. Bassett, Jr., Val J. Hilton,, David B. Jensen, and James E. Sum-sion. Sum-sion. The scholarships pay full tuition, fees, books, and a monthly allowance of $100. These outstanding students successfully competed on a nationwide basis for one of the highly prized Air Force scholarships. Their selection is a tribute to the high scholastic and personal qualifications of these individuals. Bassett, Hilton and Jensen all were awarded scholarships as pilot candidates. Bassett, a native of LaMesa, California is a chemistry major. Hilton, from Pleasant Grove, is obtaining ob-taining an undergraduate degree in University Studies; and Jensen, from Provo, is majoring in economics. James Sumsion, a native of Provo, was awarded a scholarship in the science and engineering area as a computer science major, and will enter the Air Force on active duty in a related career field upon gratuation and commissioning. |
