Pleasant Grove High School Has National Lunch, Munch Week PGHS has been observing National School Lunch this week. Louise C. Nielson, manager of the Pleasant Grove High lunch facility noted that each day approximately 700 students have lunch at the school cafeteria. At the high school the students have three choices for lunch to choose from, the salad bar, sandwich line, regular school lunch and also malts are available. On Wednesday, some 198,000 Utah students ate a cheeseburger on a bun. In fact, that day hundreds of thousands of school age youngsters from all over the nation were served this American favorite. National school Lunch week and the universal school menu kicked off the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the school lunch program, which will be tied in with the nation's bicentennial celebration. Special "thanks goes to the PGHS lunch ladies, Dorothy Cheriott, Aleda Coates, Dorothy Covington, Ora Deitlaf, Inez Ellis, Edith rrandsen, Ila Hooley, Colleen Gardiner, Darlene Olsen, Grace Winn, and Mrs. Nielson, manager. |
