Keith Larson, counselor, tell them about it Four Students Commended for High Scores in National Merit Tests leges they named as their first and second choices when they took the test in 1973. Students receiving the let ters of commendation were Douglas Barton, son of LuDean and Norman Barton, Holly Hicks, daughter of Robert M. and Coral Hicks, Gary Macfar-lane, Macfar-lane, son of Jay and Delna Mac-arlane, Mac-arlane, and Harold Walker, son of Stan and Lorna Walker. Counselor Keith Larson announced an-nounced this week that four students from the Pleasant Grove High School received letters of commendation from the National Merit Program. These students received just a few points less than the National Na-tional Merit Semifinalists and therefore, while not competing for scholarships, were deemed worthy of commendation by the National Merit Scholarship Selection Sel-ection board.
