Show Funeral Services Held Saturday for R. P. 'Dick' Harris Funeral services were held last Saturday, Dec. 7, 1974 for Richard P. "Dick" Harris, 53, who died last Tuesday at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City following a long illness. The services, under the direction di-rection of Bishop Gordon K. Allred of the First Ward, were held in the PL Grove Stake Center at 1:00 p.m. Speaker at the services was Joseph H. Beveridge, and Bishop Bish-op Allred also gave remarks. Vocal numbers were given by Jeanne Walker and JoAnne Brady, and by William E. Petersen, Pet-ersen, both accompanied by Judy Allred. Prayers were given by Russell Rus-sell T. Green, Gene A. Mc-Candless, Mc-Candless, and Robert Sutch, and the grave, in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, was dedicated ded-icated by LaRaine McGee. Pallbearers were Richard B. Harris, Charles Harris, Russell Green, Craig J. Harris, Nyle Green and Vance Green. "Dick" Harris, was bom on March 3, 1921 in San Diego, California to John and Anna Lakenau Harris. He married Louise Green on Oct. 5, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming. He was a construction contractor con-tractor and had served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II. Survivors include his widow, two sons and one daughter, Richard B. Harris, Craig J. Harris Har-ris and Mrs. Leane Roberts, all of PI. Grove; four grandchildren, grand-children, and two brothers, Jack Harris, Shafter, Calif., and Charles Harris, Bakersfield, Calif. |
