The facilities will be built by men and women of the Eagles Club as soon as weath-er will permit. Sops Drop Payson 44-4- 1 in Double Overtime Game It was dark outside but there was light in the eyes of the sophomore basketball players when they won a double over-time game at Payson on last Thursday, 44-4- At the end of the regulation time, the score was tied at 37 and tied again at 41 after the first three minutes overtime. Gary Jackson scored on a driving layup to put the Vik-ings head by two with 30 sec-onds to go in the second over-time. The Viking defense came up with the ball and a Payson foul put Mark Walker at the line. He made the first and George Tewanama stole the re-bound pass on the second for the victory. 1 "J ; " . f $ ' Z ,... :, L :' X ' ' - , ' THE STAR" Cyler Campbell shows teacher and class poster he put to show class about his family and its history. Class' in Lindon 1st Grade Students Named 'Star of Each week in Miss Stock-seth'- s first grade class at Lin-don Elementary a different student becomes ''The Star of the Class." The "Star" has the opportunity to put up a spec-ial bulletin board on the sub-ject of his choice. This past week Cyler Camp-bell was the "Star" and for his bulletin board he created a "Family Christmas Tree" to include drawings as well as photographs of his parents, and grandparents, and of his fam-ily. Cyler explained to the class about the items he had includ-ed and through this activity the children and teacher now know Cyler a little better. The Lindon School feels ev-ery child is special, and want to know about their interests and abilities, and want the stu- - dents to realize just how spec-ial they really are. CLOSED Area closed to motorized vehicle access, except for over-sno- vehicles is shown as cross-hatche- d in map. Canyon Roads Closure Is Issued by Forest Service During the winter months many of the canyon roads within the Uinta National For-est will be closed to motor ve-hicles, except over-sno- mach-ine s, accordin to Bruce B. Hronek, Forest Supervisor. Areas to be closed include American Fork Canyon at Tib-bie Fork and Mutual Dell, Al-pine Scenic Highway at Aspen Grove, Hobble Creek above Cherry Picnic Site, Diamond Creek above Diamond Camp-ground, Payson Canyon above Maple Dell, Santaquin Canyon at the Forest boundary, and Salt Creek above Forest bound-ary. "The closure will help pre-vent excessive damage which occurs when roads are used during wet and muddy condit-ions. It will also help to co-ordinate public safety in snow-mobilin- g use and other winter activities," Hronek said. The closure will become ef-fective December 13, and will be posted in conspicuous pla-ces adjacent to closed areas. Details of the closure may be obtained from the Forest Su- - pervisor's Office at Provo or Offices in Spanish Fork or Pleasant Grove, j Hronek said. , TO EUY - SELL - TRADE YOUR LAND, HOME OR BUSINESS . . .
