HILLS Lorene Walker Plans to Wed Kevin Douglas Hills Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Walker are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Teresa Lorene to Kevin Doug-las Hills, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hills of Sandy. The couple will be married Friday, December 13th in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, with a reception that same evening in the Grove Ward Cultural Hall. The bride-to-b- e is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and four-yea- r Seminary. She was active in Magrigals and C.D.T.A, and is now employed in Orem. The groom is a graduate of Hillcrest High School and has fulfilled an LDS misison to Sweden and is now attending B.Y.U. Th couple will make their home in Provo. ' . Christiansen of Pleasant Grove are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marraige of their daughter Janene to Leland George Yates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Yates of Brigham City, Utah. The couple will be married December 20 in the Provo L.D.S. Temple. A reception will be held in their honor that eve-ning in the new Pleasant Grove Sixth Ward Cultural Hall. Attending the bride as maid of honor will be her sister, Kathleen. Her other attendants will be Christina Yates, Debi Johnson, Carol Helewell and Nadine Cluff. Best man duties will be performed by the groom's brother, Alma Yates. The bride-to-b- e graduated from Plesaant Grove High School and L.D.S. Seminary. She received an Associlate De gree at Rick's College and lated graduated cum laude from B.Y.U receiving a B.S. Degree in Child Development and Family Relationships. She has been employed at Genvea Steel. The prospective groom is a graduate of Boxelder High School and L.D.S Semiary in Brigham City; He has fulfilled an L.D.S. Mission to the Brit-ish Southwest Mission. This month Mr. Yates will complete his schooling at B.Y.U. with a B.S. Degree in Socialogy. Following the wedding, the couple will make their first home in American Fork. Hilton family annual Christmas Party was held at the Ameri-can Legion Hall in Lehi last Saturday, December 7. The family congregated at noon, bringing delicious food all ready for serving. The tables were beautifully decorated in Christmas motif. Following the meal, a period of time was set aside to get acquainted with new family members through marriage, and with new babies born since the last reunion in the sum-mer. Members came from Logan, Utah, on the north, to Las Vegas, Nevada, so the family had many to get acquainerd with. A jolly time was had show-ing Christtmas cartoons, con-stucti-games under super-ion- ; a program of music, stor-ies stunts and reports of fam-ily activities by heads of fam-ilies. Sixty-nin- e family members participated and a most enjoy-able time was had by all. At the close of the day sacks of treats were distributed to the younger set. Saturday evening the child-ren of Sam and Lydia with their companions spent another few hours at the S. W.Hilton home where visting, reminis-cenin- g and a general fun time was enjoyed, followed by light refreshments being served. The Nevada visitors spent the night at the Hilton home, and returned home the follow-ing day. Lindon Lighter Tops Club Holds Christmas Demo Lindon Lighter Tops Club held a Christmas Demonstra-tion December fifth. Many things of interest were dis-played, and the club was taught how to make them, by Elain Conrow. The club always welcomes new members. Those interested please call Myra Penrod, 785 4468. (Bill and Shirl) Young of Port Nikiski Dock, Kenai, Alaska, are announcing the forthcom-ing marriage of their daughter Carla Sue Young to David P. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. (Chuck and Betty) Johnson of North Kenai, Alaska. The wedding is planned for December 14, 1974 in her par-ents home at Port Nikiski Dock at 6:00 p.m. President Waldo Bishop will officiate at the ceremony. A reception will fol-low In the Island Sea Room at Lighthouse Inn at 7:30 p.m. The bride escorted by her father, will wear an empire style chiffon and lace gown. Her veil worn formely by two of her sisters made of pearl tiara & fingertip length shoul-der length will crown her head. She will carry a bridal bouquet of red carnations, white roses and holly. Maid of Honor, Cyn-thia Peck, sister of the bride, from Pleasant Grove, Utah, will wear a floor length gown of red and gold. Bride's Maids are Ann Corey and Vick-ie Lazenby Brewater will wear read gowns, carrying nosegays of white carnations, red roses and holly. The mother of the bride will wear a dark green velvet gown with white carnations and roses. George Brewster will serve as Best Man. Standing in line will also be Scott Young and Don England. Paula Deland, Cindy Carter and Robin Stone will care for gifts and bride's book. Carla will graduate from Kenai High School and works part time secretary for Board at Rig Tenders Dock. Dave graduated from Kenai High School and works for Dresser Atlas also at Rig Ten-ders Dock. They will have a short honeymoon touring Alas-ka and live in Kenai. Special Session for Provo Temple to Convene Dec. 26 A special session of the Pro-vo Temple will be convened on December 28th from 6:30 a. m. to 10:00 a.m. Thsi special day will accomodate all pa-trons who wish to attend. Opening of the Temple during the holidays will be especially to accomodate visiting families and couples who wish to be married, missionaries and oth-ers. All patrons coming for reg-ular endowment sessions on December 28th, and not con-nected with the living endow-ment, should be at the temple as soon after 6:30 a.m. as con-venient. The earlier sessions are especially designed to ac-comodate them. The Provo Temple closes at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21st for the Christmas and New Year's Holidays. Regular temple work will begin on Thursday, January 2, 1975. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Pleasant Grove, Utah County, State of Utah: Section 10-5-- OVERNIGHT PARKING: No person shall park any vehicle on any city street where the pavement runs from curb to curb, or within five (5) feet of any paved street surface where there is no con-structed curb between the hours of two o'clock (2:00) a.m. and six o'clock (6:00) a.m. from the months of November 1, through March 15. It is deemed necessary for the immediate1 health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of Pleasant Grove City that this ordinance should take ef-fect upon its passage and first publication. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Pleasant Grove City, Utah: SECTION PENALTY: Any person convicted of a violation of any section of this City Code for which a penalty is not specifically provided shall be fined in a sum not to exceed two hundred ninety-nin- e dollars ($299) for any one (1) offense and the person may be confined in the city or coun-ty jail for a period of not more than six (6) months. Either or both such fine and imprison-ment may be imposed. It is deemed necessary for the immediate health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of Pleasant Grove City that this ordinance should take effect upon its passage and first pub-lication.
