Show Civic Improvement Assn. Reflects On Eventful Year; Plans 75 Show C.I. A. representatives who will attend the Denver confab this year are Duane Evans, director; dir-ector; Dean Lott and Von Sor-enson, Sor-enson, committeemen. From January on, plans were in progress for the Queen Contest Con-test and the Lehi Rodeo. The committee met often to see that all was going as planned. Each year they work hard to get the rodeo grounds in shape for the celebration. This year they've put in new chutes, announcer stand, and corrals. There are some interesting events in connection with the Queen Contest. There's a tea held prior to the contest where the committee gets to meet each contestant. After the queen and her attendants are chosen they are taken into Salt Lake to meet the Governor, Secretary Sec-retary of State and to appear on television to advertise the celebration. cele-bration. The Lehi Civic Improvement Association puts up a $3,300 purse, plus the cowboy's entry fees. This gives a good sized purse for the cowboys to compete com-pete for. The rodeo will be held on June 26, 27, and 28 in 1975 and the Another successful Lehi Roundup was the concensus of opinion of the Lehi Civic Improvement Im-provement Association after all aspects of the celebration had been reviewed. The members of the C.I. A. who work for the good of the community to promote the Roundup are looking for another banner year in 1975. Officers are as follows: Lynn "Snook" Lewis, president; LaVere Downs, vice president; Don Peet, secretary and treasurer; Ralph Anderson, Dean Lott, Dale Peterson, Duane Evans, Doug Calton, Mike Southwick, Morris Clark, and Marvin Pulham, board of directors. Each director has a committee commit-tee of Lehi residents to work with him on his assigned job. The directors couldn't carry out their given assignments without the particular committeemen. Last January a delegation went to Denver, Colorado to formulate plans for the coming year's Lehi Roundup celebration. celebra-tion. While there they met with the producer, Cotton Rosser, and the R.C..A. Board. The delegates were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Pulham, director, and Committeemen LaVere Downs and Glen Carter and their wives.
