Show Just One Day Til Christmas by Lois Littleford Just one day 'till Christmas, I hope you're all ready. For old father time is moving quite steady. The trees are all sparkly with tinsel so bright. And Santa's rested for his long ride tonight. He's worked hard all year, Mrs. Santa has too To bring something special to each one of you. The visions mounting in small childrens heads For this one night a year they'll jump into their beds. They know Santa's waiting until their asleep And he'll not do his job if he hears even one peep. I've heard some rumors at school and at home Of what some people want when Santa does come. Some girls want dollies, some boys want a bike. R.L. says a horse trailer is what he would like. There are a few girls I know 2 or 3 who want to find missionaries under their tree. Well most of our wishes Dear Santa will grant But girls that is one wish I'm sorry, he can't. Now this day before Christmas Be of good will and cheer Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And remember in spite of the presents and glee Find time to have some humility humili-ty For the real meaning of Christmas Christ-mas resounds on the earth Telling the story of our Dear Saviors Birth. |
